'Pannun assassination mastermind CC1 has been arrested,' India tells US: Report

India has told US that it has arrested a person identified as 'CC1', alleged mastermind behind assassination plot to kill American citizen and Khalistani separatist Gurpatwant Pannun on US soil, Hindustan Times reported. India has also said CC1 is no longer a government employee and an inquiry committee is investigating his other connections. US is reportedly "encouraged" by India's actions.
