'Pro-Israel' MIT professor shot dead at his home in US

A 47-year-old physicist and fusion scientist teaching at Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Boston was shot at his home on Monday night, authorities said. Nuno FG Loureiro was shot multiple times at his home and passed away the next day, with Israel National News identifying him as "pro-Israel". He was director of MIT's Plasma Science and Fusion Center.
