Punjab cop shot dead in Amritsar; Akali Dal says complete law-and-order breakdown

Punjab policeman, ASI Joga Singh was shot dead by unknown assailants in Amritsar. “The incident occurred on a busy road, and all possible angles, including personal enmity, road rage, and other potential motives, are being investigated,” SSP (Rural) Sohail Mir said. Akali Dal leader Harsimrat Kaur Badal has called it a complete breakdown of the law-and-order machinery in Punjab.
