'Ramayan' actor Arun Govil takes oath as MP for 1st time

Arun Govil, who played the role of Lord Ram in 'Ramayan', took oath as an MP on Tuesday after winning from the Meerut Lok Sabha seat as a BJP candidate. Govil secured 5,46,469 votes and defeated SP's Sunita Verma with a margin of over 10,000 votes. BJP's Rajendra Agrawal won from Meerut seat in both 2014 and 2019.
