'Tablet scam' affects 2,000 students in West Bengal, funds for students' tablets diverted

At least 1,911 students in West Bengal have been affected by an alleged scam wherein ₹10,000 meant to be given to students to buy tablets was fraudulently transferred after the state education department's portal was allegedly hacked. "A joint team of senior officers is investigating the issue and 11 people have been arrested so far," police said.
