Trump ends deportation protection for Afghans and Cameroonians

US President Donald Trump's administration has ended temporary deportation protections for thousands of Afghans and Cameroonians in the country. Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem found that the conditions in Afghanistan and Cameroon no longer justified the protected status. The move, amid an immigration crackdown, will affect around 14,600 Afghans and 7,900 Cameroonians.
