Zohran Mamdani rides subway to work on first day as NYC mayor

Zohran Mamdani began his first day as New York mayor by taking subway from his Queens home to work. He took selfies with riders, then sat in a corner seat reviewing briefing papers. When a pair of puzzled French tourists asked him about the attention, he introduced himself as "new NY mayor", then showed a newspaper's front page for proof.
