1,000-yr-old seed used to grow ancient Biblical tree with anti-cancer properties

A mysterious ancient seed, dating back to a time between 993 AD and 1202, has grown into a 10-foot-tall tree nearly 1,000 years after it came into existence, said scientists who revived it. The seed, found in the Judean Desert, could belong to a lineage mentioned in the Bible. The tree's leaves contain active compounds with anti-inflammatory and anti-cancer properties.
