1.02 cr saplings planted in a day in Assam on Environment Day

Over 1.02 crore saplings were planted in one day in Assam on World Environment Day, led by women, CM Himanta Biswa Sarma said on Friday. He shared photos and videos of women and children planting saplings across the state. PM Narendra Modi commended the initiative, saying, "We congratulate the women of the state for taking the leadership in this endeavour".
