1,221 water tankers to be deployed in peak summer: Delhi Jal Board

The Delhi Jal Board announced its Summer Action Plan for water distribution and said 1,221 tankers will be deployed during peak summer to supply 1,002 million gallons daily. Fixed water supply points have increased from last year's 8,700 to 13,000 this year. Delhi Water Minister Parvesh Verma said 436 new tubewells will be commissioned, taking total operational tubewells to 6,290.
