1,300 IAS, 505 IPS posts are lying vacant across India: Govt

As many as 1,300 posts of the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) and 505 belonging to Indian Police Service (IPS) are lying vacant across the country, Union Minister Jitendra Singh said. Vacancies are regularly assessed, and all advertised IAS vacancies are filled while considering the reservation norms, Singh added. He shared the figures in a written reply to the Lok Sabha.
