1,678 errors found in Odisha school textbooks for Class 1-8, Newton called 'greatest pilot'

Around 1,678 errors have been found in Class 1-8 textbooks for the 2026-27 academic session in Odisha. Among these are: Sir Isaac Newton being described as the "greatest pilot", Karnataka Assembly being identified as Odisha Assembly, and Karnataka's Hampi temple complex being labelled Odisha's Konark Sun Temple. CM Mohan Charan Majhi ordered a high-level probe into the errors.
