1 accused shot dead, other held over policemen's killing in Punjab

Punjab Police shot dead a man in an encounter and arrested another over their alleged involvement in the killing of two policemen in Gurdaspur. A third accused is still at large. A policeman also sustained a bullet injury to his arm during the encounter. The two policemen were shot dead at a checkpost near the India–Pakistan border on February 22.
