One in eight French women, constituting nearly 40 lakh of the country's female population, has been raped at least once in their lifetime, a study by the Fondation Jean Jaurès has revealed. The think-tank surveyed over 2,000 women to assess the extent of sexual harassment in France. The study further revealed that 43% respondents were sexually touched without their consent.
