1 kg of an Assam tea variety auctioned for ₹75,000

A kilogram of a variety of Assam tea, 'Golden Butterfly', was auctioned for ₹75,000 by the Guwahati Tea Auction Centre (GTAC) on Tuesday. The speciality tea is produced by Dikom Tea Estate and the bid was paid by Assam Tea Traders. In July, another variety of Assam tea was auctioned for ₹50,000 a kilo by GTAC.
