1 lakh people go missing in UP in 2 yrs, police act on 9,700 cases

Over one lakh missing person complaints were registered in UP in the last two years, in which action was taken in 9,700 cases, TOI reported, quoting an affidavit filed by the state government in Allahabad High Court. This comes after the High Court registered a suo motu PIL regarding the increasing number of missing persons in UP.
