Nine infants, including a 1.1-month-old, are among hundreds of workers who were rescued from brick kilns in Telangana, where they were employed in bonded labour-like situations. Workers alleged they'd been trapped in a debt cycle, weren't paid wages and given ₹200 grocery vouchers each week. The rescue operation was launched after a single labourer escaped a kiln and approached authorities.
