1 UN peacekeeper killed, 2 wounded in shelling in south Lebanon

UN Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) said that one of its peacekeepers was killed and two others were injured after mortar shells struck their position in southeastern ​Lebanon late on Wednesday. Without naming the source of the shelling, UNIFIL said, "Violence must stop." The mission has launched an investigation to ascertain the exact circumstances leading to the incident.
