10 Chinese military airplanes enter Taiwan air defence zone

Taiwan on Friday dispatched its aircraft to warn 10 Chinese military aircraft after they entered its air defence identification zone, Taiwan's Defence Ministry said. Taiwan's missile systems were deployed to monitor them, it added. This comes a day after Taiwan proposed an extra defence spending of $8.69 billion over the next five years to counter the "severe threat" from China.
