10 dead after heavy rains cause floods in Madagascar's Antananarivo

At least 10 people have died and over 12,000 others were rendered homeless after heavy rains in Madagascar flooded parts of its capital city Antananarivo, officials said. "We are appealing to...inhabitants of Antananarivo and...surrounding municipalities to leave areas at high risk of landslides," an official said on Wednesday. As many as six houses in city have collapsed due to rains.
