A record-10 Indian-origin MPs were elected to the UK parliament on Friday. Long-serving MPs Keith Vaz and Virendra Sharma, David Cameron's Indian diaspora champion Priti Patel, Opposition Labour's Valerie Vaz, Seema Malhotra along with Narayana Murthy's son-in-law Rishi Sunak won their respective seats. Alok Sharma, Shailesh Vara, Suella Fernandes and Lisa Nandy completed the list of victors.
