10 missing after avalanche hits Himlung Himal base camp in Nepal

At least 10 people, all expedition staff members, have gone missing after an avalanche struck the base camp of Himlung Himal in western Nepal on Sunday morning. Himlung Himal, located in Manang district, stands at 7,126 metres. Rain and snowfall have affected several parts of Nepal due to a low pressure system over the Bay of Bengal.
