100 crore Indians have no discretionary spending power: Report

Close to 100 crore Indians, or 90%of India's population, have no discretionary spending power to buy goods or services beyond basic needs, a report by Blume Ventures said. India's top 10% is the primary group driving consumption and economic growth. The rich are growing richer without any growth in the country’s wealthy population, a BBC report citing Blume's findings said.
