100 Indiras can't shake up democracy: Amit Shah on Emergency

Discussing the imposition of Emergency in 1975, BJP President Amit Shah said, "India has deep roots in democracy... not one but 100 Indiras cannot shake it up through Emergency." He added, "There are deep roots of democracy in India and Indira Gandhi had made attempts to uproot it." He also said the Congress had destroyed its own democratic structure.
