100 new Sainik Schools to be opened under PPP model: Rajnath Singh

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh announced the establishment of 100 new Sainik Schools across the country based on public-private partnership (PPP) model and expansion of National Cadet Corps (NCC). "Previously, there were 17 lakh recruitments in NCC...decision has been taken to raise it to 20 lakh," he said. Singh was addressing Diamond Jubilee celebrations of Uttarakhand's Sainik School Ghorakhal.
