Providing benefits to all lawmakers of the state, Punjab CM Prakash Singh Badal announced a hike in salary, giving himself the biggest hike of 100%. He will now be paid Rs. 1 lakh per month. The state, whose expenditure already exceeds the revenue by Rs. 6394 crores, will have to bear an added expense of Rs. 5.99 crores per annum.
