100-yr-old Chaiti Durga temple washed away by Ganga River in Bihar

The 100-year-old Chaiti Durga Temple was swept away by the swollen Ganga River in Bihar's Bhagalpur on Tuesday. Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Choudhary said the situation in the Bhagalpur district was "challenging and difficult" as severe erosion by the river swallowed large stretches of land and created pressure points. The temple was swallowed by the river within seconds.
