1,000 Indian workers ran Amazon's 'Just Walk Out' tech, it wasn't automated: Report

Amazon's 'Just Walk Out' technology, which the e-commerce giant claimed was automated, was actually being run by 1,000 Indian workers, The Information reported. The technology allowed people to enter a store, grab the items they wanted and leave without checking out. The workers reportedly took on the role of remote cashiers to check what customers were leaving the store with.
