105 Congress members urge FBI to probe Hindu temple shooting as hate crime

Led by Congressman Raja Krishnamoorthi, 105 US lawmakers urged FBI Director Kash Patel to investigate the October 11 attempted mass shooting at an Illinois Hindu temple as a federal hate crime. The suspect, a self-identified neo-Nazi, allegedly authored a white supremacist manifesto targeting people of Indian descent. Lawmakers also sought FBI action on rising anti-South Asian online threats.
