11,000-volt power line collapses on Delhi-Jaipur expressway; triggers 16-km traffic jam

Traffic on the Delhi-Jaipur expressway stretch of NH-48 in Gurugram came to a standstill after an 11,000-volt high-tension power line snapped and fell onto the road near Narsinghpur, police said. The incident took place around 3.30 pm and resulted in at least 16-kilometres long jam on both carriageways of expressway. Police reached the spot and diverted vehicles through alternate routes.
