11 chained & forced to dig well for 12 hrs in Maharashtra, say 'made us defecate in well'

Eleven people, engaged in well digging, have been rescued by police after they were chained by their contractors to prevent them from escaping in Maharashtra. Police stated that the labourers said they were made to work for 12 hours daily, adding, "They were given food just once a day and forced to answer nature's call in the well itself."
