11 dead as chemical tank containing 'white liquor' bursts in US

At least 11 people were killed after a tank containing a chemical ​solution of sodium hydroxide and sodium sulfide, aka "white liquor", imploded at a packaging facility in the US state of ​Washington. Two fatalities had been confirmed on Tuesday, while the remaining nine bodies were recovered on Saturday. Officials said the rupture contaminated the nearby ​Columbia River.
