Over 51,000 employees have been laid off by 112 tech companies so far in 2025, according to layoffs tracker Layoffs.fyi. April has seen the most number of layoffs this year, with 19 companies laying off 23,468 employees. The most likely reason for the ongoing wave of layoffs is global tensions and concerns over inflation, The Indian Express reported.
