115 ships, 2,500 seafarers evacuated from Hormuz since Tuesday: IMO

Around 115 ships carrying nearly 2,500 seafarers have been evacuated from the Strait of Hormuz since Tuesday, according to the UN's International Maritime Organisation (IMO). The operation began after security concerns disrupted shipping in the region. However, IMO later paused the evacuation plan following an attack on a vessel in the Gulf of Oman.
