11-yr-old girl abducted, raped and murdered in Gujarat; 2 detained

An 11-year-old girl was kidnapped, raped and murdered in Gujarat's Surat district reportedly when her parents were away. Police said they have detained two suspects for questioning following the incident, which occurred on Sunday near Palsana town, located 15 km away from Surat. A police official said the girl was attacked after being taken to a flat near her residence.
