On April 18, 2007, Barcelona forward Lionel Messi scored a goal considerably identical to his compatriot Diego Maradona's 'Goal of the Century', which was scored against England in the 1986 World Cup. The then 19-year-old Messi started his run from the centre of the pitch and beat six Getafe players including the goalkeeper within 11 seconds to net the goal.
