12 lakh mobile users hit by porn-disguised malware in 2017

In 2017, over 12 lakh mobile users faced malware disguised as adult content for installing infected apps on devices, according to cybersecurity firm Kaspersky Lab. The firm also identified 23 families of malware that use porn content to hide their real functionality. The research showed that downloading an unknown porn application caused the malware to drain users' pre-paid mobile credit.
