124 in California to lose jobs as Meta aims to layoff 200 employees

As per Meta's company filings, 124 employees in California's Burlingame and 74 employees near Sunnyvale will lose their jobs, after the firm announced its plan to layoff 200 staffers to increase AI adoption and implementation. The layoffs will reportedly take effect by the end of May. The filings also stated that the concerned positions will be "permanently eliminated".
