1.2-kg hairball removed from stomach of Maha girl who ingested own hair
A 32-inch-long rugby ball-shaped hairball weighing 1.2 kg was removed from a 13-year-old girl's stomach after a one-and-a-half hour surgery in Maharashtra's Vasai on Tuesday. The child's condition came to light after she complained of severe abdominal pain and was unable to eat anything without throwing up. A surgeon said she had Rapunzel syndrome, wherein one swallows their own hair.
