12th century Lord Krishna idol found in Maharashtra, pics surface

A two-foot-high statue of Lord Krishna was unearthed during construction work in Maharashtra's Chandrapur district. Ashok Singh Thakur, a member of the Indian National Trust for Art and Cultural Heritage, said the idol belongs to the Chalukya dynasty of the 12th century AD. The villager, on whose plot the idol was found, said he wanted to build a temple there.
