12-year-old boy with bright yellow tongue diagnosed with rare disorder in Canada

A 12-year-old boy with a bright yellow tongue was diagnosed with cold agglutinin disease in Canada. The rare autoimmune disorder led to his immune system attacking and destroying its own red blood cells. Doctors suspect the boy contracted the disease due to an infection from Epstein-Barr virus. The boy needed a blood transfusion and also received treatment with oral steroids.
