13 allowances of central govt employees to increase by 25%

EPFO has released a circular stating the payments of the 13 allowances to the central government employees will be made at enhanced rates of 25% over the existing rates with effect from 1st January 2024. This comes after the Dearness Allowance for central government employees hiked by 4% to 50%. Notably, the 13 allowances include House Rent and Conveyance allowances.
