13 get life term for killing father-son in Waqf act protests in WB

At least 13 people were sentenced to life imprisonment for lynching a man and his son during violence over Waqf (Amendment) Act protests in West Bengal's Murshidabad in April. The court directed the state government to give ₹15 lakh compensation to the family of the victims. Special public prosecutor said this was India's second conviction in a mob lynching case.
