13 Philippine marines killed in battle with ISIS militants

Thirteen Philippine marines were killed and at least 40 others were injured in a 16-hour clash with militants linked to the Islamic State in the besieged city of Marawi, the military has said. It is believed to be the deadliest single-day toll for the military forces who have been battling the militants for more than two weeks.
