132-yr-overdue magazine returned to US library, fine waived

A 132-year-overdue magazine has finally been returned to Concord Public Library in New Hampshire. John Hanson, 84, brought back a September 1894 issue of The Century Illustrated Monthly Magazine after the library announced a fine freeze. The magazine was reportedly 48,220 days overdue and could have attracted a fine of ₹11.5 lakh. Hanson said it had been hanging around his house for decades.
