13-yr-old Atherton creates history, becomes youngest ever senior footballer in UK

Northern Irish football club Glenavon's Christopher Atherton has created history by becoming the youngest ever senior footballer in the UK. He achieved the feat by debuting for the club's senior team aged 13 years and 329 days against Dollingstown in Northern Ireland Football League Cup. The previous record was held by Eamonn Collins (14 years and 323 days).
