14-year-old Vaibhav Sooryavanshi felicitated by Bihar govt, awarded ₹50-lakh cheque

Cricketer Vaibhav Sooryavanshi was on Sunday felicitated by Bihar government for his performance in the Under-19 World Cup 2026. The 14-year-old was awarded a ₹50-lakh cheque by Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. "May Vaibhav Suryavanshi, the pride of Bihar and the bright future of Indian cricket, continue to set new benchmarks," Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary wrote on X.
