144-year-old Kipling Bungalow to be transformed into art hub

The Maharashtra government has sanctioned ₹10 crore for the renovation and preservation of the 144-year-old Kipling Bungalow in Mumbai. The bungalow, which was constructed in 1882, replaced the house where novelist and poet Rudyard Kipling was born. It will now be transformed into an art and culture hub with four art galleries, an amphitheatre and landscape spaces.
