14-year-old boy 'slashed in face with machete' during robbery

An investigation has been launched after a 14-year-old boy was slashed in the face by a machete-wielding robber in east London. The teenager was walking along Rainham Road with another boy at around 7 pm on Monday, when the attack took place. The other boy, also aged 14, managed to avoid injury and didn’t require medical treatment, police said.
