1.5 crore-Indian diaspora is the largest in the world: UN

The Indian diaspora is the largest in the world with over 1.5 crore Indians living abroad, the UN's International Organisation for Migration has said. In its World Migration Report, the agency said the largest share of the Indian diaspora, comprising 35 lakh Indians, lived in the UAE in 2015. The US was the top destination for migrants, the report added.
